Food was generally nothing special - the prices seemed high for the portions and quality, but the burgers were better than the other dishes we tried.
We just had an amazing experience at the Tap Room at Bird Creek Farms. The venue is beyond beautiful and the food was a positive surprise. I had the Scotch Eggs – awesome last year, they are even better this year (I think they are bigger) and my S.O. had the Cuban Salmon – each were world class. Take the drive from Detroit and enjoy a wonderful farm-to-table food experience!
This is the best "Farm to Table" restaurant in Huron County! They even have a microbrewery and make their own beer! So so delicious!
The tap list was extensive and well-chosen, though they were out of a few and had none of their own beer available.
Absolutely great service! The owners are fantastic. They did everything to make our group feel comfortable. Even though service was slow, they all explained why it was slow. They took the time to talk to us and that made a difference. We would definitely come again and will recommend to our other friends.
All in all, a very pleasant setting, but the menu and service were hit or miss.
Great selection of craft beers and food. The outdoor atmosphere is one of a kind. My wife asked for a beer they normally do not carry. Surprisingly Scott the owner went into town and purchased it for her. Great service.
Drinks were also on the expensive side. The spicy Bloody Mary with bacon strips and sausage skewer was good.
We may stop in again, as we've heard good things about their house beer and would like to try a few.
Our $10 margaritas were sour enough to make a corpse wince. The somewhat detached server refused to bring new drinks, though she did bring us a bowl of sugar..... Not what one expects from a good restaurant.
