I've gone there many times and it's the best riding stables around and the owners grandaughter Shelby was a great guide
Family owned and run, the owner's grand daughter was our guide. For four beginners including an 8 year old and an 11 year old, this was a fantastic place. $25 each for an hour ride, which is perfect for someone who is not used to a saddle and little ones who get a little ansy, make sure you bring either cash or check. Ride included crossing creek beds, beautiful trail that was both open field and through forested areas and gentle hills. Guiding the horses was easy, pull the reins back to stop, pull them left or right to turn. Horses were well loved, family understood the personalities of the horses and picked perfect personalities to compliment our family. Every rider is responsible for their own horse, no doubling up, fosters independence. Farm is fun to visit by itself, pigs and chickens to visit and $5 for pony rides if you have children younger than 8.
All of the workers are cheerful and helpful. The owner always matches the rider with the perfect horse. The trail is fun and even includes creek crossings!
Awesome experience. Horses are well trained and family very friendly. Property has a beautiful stream running throughout that we crossed twice. Highly recommend if you are in the thumb area.
This was a great experience! Shelby,our guide, was very funny, friendly, and smart. The stable is good for beginners and kids! My boyfriend and 9 year old little brother who has Autism went with me and they both had an AMAZING time! The horses were calm and pretty much did all the work for you.Jake tagged along with us for the ride making great company throughout the trail. I would definitely recommend Knoblock stables to friends and family if you are looking for a scenic,comfortable, and friendly experience.
